Why we exist

Most online home stores list whatever their supplier catalogue contains. Thousands of products, no opinion, and a review section that is impossible to trust. Shopping becomes an afternoon of comparison rather than five minutes of buying.

FreshExpr was built on the opposite instinct. We would rather sell you thirty things we can defend than three thousand we have never touched.

How something gets listed

We buy the product ourselves, at full price, from the supplier we would source it from. It goes into a real kitchen for at least two weeks. If it is flimsy, annoying to clean, or simply no better than the thing it claims to replace, it does not get listed.

Roughly four out of five products we test never make the shelf. That is the whole point.

How we keep prices low

We do not hold warehouses of stock. Orders ship from the fulfilment partner closest to you, which means slightly longer delivery than a domestic warehouse and substantially lower prices than a retailer who has to finance inventory. We think that is the right trade for a $30 kitchen tool, and we state the delivery times plainly so you can decide for yourself.
